Test EngineerAn industry leader in custom electric motor design, providing custom machine design, test stand systems, and components for customers worldwide is hiring a Test Engineer. This world class design group in the Flathead Valley excels in mechanical and electrical design of rotating machinery.If you have strong problem-solving skills, and a high attention to detail we want to hear from you! As the Test Engineer you would set up various high performance rotating machines including AC electric motors and gearboxes in a test lab environment and conduct validation testing prior to shipping systems to customers. On occasion, travel to customer facilities to oversee installation and commissioning of machinery.Essential Functions:Prepare machinery for validation testing, performing tasks such as, routing fluid lines, making electrical power connections, and aligning shaftsPerform validation testing of motors and gearboxes. Including operating machinery at various speeds across their operating ranges and collecting numerous data points on the system’s health and performance (temperature, vibration, torque, etc.) using various computer softwareCompile and format testing data and generate test reportsTravel to customer facilities within and outside the US to oversee installation efforts and manage the commissioning processContinued education required to improve performance both at company expense and your ownMaintain a valid passportQualifications:A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar preferredPreferred experience includes aligning and coupling rotating machinery, testing mechanical systems or creating test plans, designing rotating power transmission machinery/components, and tuning variable frequency drives (VFDs) and other power electronicsFamiliarity with electrical measuring equipment such as a handheld multi-meterHands on experience with machine assembly and repairHigh level of aptitude related to rotating power transmission drivetrainsUnderstanding of AC and DC electrical circuitsWhy you want this position:Salary: $70 to $90K annually, depending on experienceMonday through Thursday work schedulePaid holiday, sick and vacation time401(k) with 3% match on contributionsAccess to 3 different health insurance plans, company pays for half the premiumBonuses and profit sharing are commonIf interested, email resume to Amy@lcstaffing.com or call 406-407-7988 for more details. 40138https://lcstaffing.com/jobs/test-engineer/
