Logan Health Director of Nursing | Conrad Long Term Care (LTC) in Conrad, Montana

Job Description Summary:

Lead with Heart, Strength, and Purpose

At Logan Health Conrad Long Term Care, we have the privilege of caring for those who helped build this community—our founders, our neighbors, and our loved ones. Surrounded by Montana’s golden fields and the Rocky Mountain Front, our facility is more than just a place to work; it’s a place where relationships matter, trust is earned, and leadership makes a real impact.

We are looking for a Director of Nursing who is ready to take on both the rewarding and challenging aspects of leading in a long-term care environment. This role requires more than clinical expertise—it takes resilience, strong leadership, and the ability to create lasting relationships with staff. Change is not always easy, and leading in long-term care means making difficult decisions, earning the trust of your team, and standing firm when needed while always keeping the well-being of residents at the center of every decision.

Why Join Logan Health Conrad?

We are a 62-bed skilled nursing facility with a strong team of caregivers, many of whom have been here for years. Our staff is dedicated, our residents are valued, and our Life Enrichment Program brings purpose and joy to daily life. We follow the Eden Alternative philosophy, which means we focus on creating a home-like environment where residents feel engaged, empowered, and well cared for.

At Logan Health Conrad, we are looking for a leader who can inspire, guide, and strengthen our nursing team. Someone who understands the unique challenges of long-term care, who can gain the trust of staff, and who is not afraid to navigate tough conversations while fostering a culture of respect and accountability.

What You’ll Do

As the Director of Nursing, you will:

  • Lead and support a team of skilled and compassionate caregivers.

  • Build trust and relationships with staff through clear communication and strong leadership.

  • Oversee all aspects of clinical care, ensuring quality, compliance, and best practices in long-term care.

  • Navigate challenges with confidence, problem-solving skills, and a steady, patient-centered approach.

  • Implement necessary changes while keeping staff engaged and aligned with the vision of the organization.

  • Partner with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care.

    What We’re Looking For

  • Current Montana RN license (or multi-state compact license).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

  • At least three years of leadership experience in healthcare.

  • Previous experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to foster trust and accountability.

  • A leader who is both firm and compassionate, able to implement change while keeping staff engaged and motivated.

    Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • A close-knit team – We support each other, and we’re passionate about what we do.

  • A strong, established culture – Our caregivers have deep roots here, and our residents feel at home.

  • A leadership role with real impact – Your decisions will shape the future of care in our community.

This is a role for someone who is ready to lead, ready to face challenges head-on, and ready to make a lasting difference. If that sounds like you, we’d love to talk.
