Grass Winds Veterinary Clinic is seeking a motivated, reliable, hard-working individual to join our team! Position Summary Grass Winds Veterinary Clinic is looking for a full-time front desk receptionist. We are searching for someone with prior office and/or animal experience, but we are willing to train. The receptionist will primarily be responsible for client interactions regarding appointments, patient status, bills, phone calls, and handling payments. The general duties of the position include preparing vaccines, writing certificates, noting inventory, filing patient records, and assisting Dr. Connelly with appointments. In addition to these tasks, the receptionist will need to do light cleaning of animal cages, medical instruments, laundry, animal dishes, and any other spills as needed. Qualifications High School or equivalent. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of web-based tools and platforms (google docs, sheets, email, etc.). Experience performing financial transactions and reconciliations. Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and manage multiple responsibilities at once while maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Collaborative team player who can take initiative and accomplish tasks in a timely manner. Possesses strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Solutions oriented, including demonstrated resourcefulness, optimist, and flexibility in approach. Prior office experience is desired but not mandatory. Comfortability working with small and large animals. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
