Job Descriptions:

The Clothing Manager plays a critical role in assisting the Store Manager in the day to day store operations, customer service and merchandising. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and supervise employees. Other requirements of this position include strong communication skills, an interactive sales approach, and keen awareness of loss prevention, maintenance of store cleanliness and appearance, excellent customer service, a positive, professional attitude and above all honor Murdoch’s M.V.P.’s and G.E.T.

Key Areas of Responsibility:Leadership/Salesmanship/Product Knowledge/Merchandising/Maintenance• Facilitate the highest standards in sales, merchandising and store appearance on a daily basis• Communicate effectively and create working relationship with team members, Assistant Managers, Store Managers, Regional Clothing Operations Manager and Home Office • Motivate clothing members to stay focused and on task• Flexible to necessary adjustments needed or requested on staffing, work area changes, display availability, etc. • Responsible for driving sales • Provide excellent customer service at all times• Able to educate yourself and team members on product and procedures • Display consistent and sound judgment when dealing with exchanges or returns; consistent with company policy and procedures • Strong expertise with computer systems; able to retrieve information quickly on SKU/UPC, availability (QOH/QOO), retail/cost, date received etc. • Able to educate and execute markdowns, price changes, special orders, transfers, reports, counts etc.• Scheduled to work between 45-52 hours each week and approximately 2 weekends a month and/or more depending on needs of the individual store as determined by store manager• Other duties as needed

Physical Demands:• Scheduled to work between 45-52 hours per week• Stand for a long period of time• Heavy and repetitive lifting (no more than 50lbs)• Bending, carrying and pushing• Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard• Close vision for PC work• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions
