Local YMCA is currently looking for a Senior Program Director. Responsible for the development, organization and implementation of high quality programs and events in the areas of Summer Camp, Family, After School and all Y programs in related departments. Additionally, supervises trains and supports assigned staff and volunteers; develops, plans and implements new procedures, systems and methods to promote growth, safety, member satisfaction and member retention through program participation.CORE FUNCTIONS: Member Experience: Through exceptional engagement and relationship building, create outstanding, personalized customer experiences that foster loyalty to the Y and Commitment to its mission, cause and values as well as encouraging long lasting and deeper connections between members. Safe/Clean Environment: Provide safe, clean and well maintained equipment and facilities in order to best assist the people we serve. Programs/Services: Provide exceptional service offerings during desired/available times, ensuring quality curriculums and member focused staff. Leadership Development: Recruit, hire, train, manage, appreciate and lead a qualified and committed staff/volunteers who represent the communities we serve and are held countable for welcoming and valuing members and incorporating relationship-building and member achievement into all programs. Marketing and Communication: Keeps members and prospective members informed in a timely fashion and using a variety of clear, concise methods. All communications materials are grounded in the language of the Y's cause and mission. Social Responsibility: Understands and models YMCA values. Focus on creating positive social and community change through the development of meaningful programs and services and helping to ensure that everyone has access.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, recreation, teaching, business or equivalent is preferred but not necessary. Ability to direct programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fund-raising. Ability to develop authentic and deepened relationships with others. Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations. Ability to work as a team member. CPR and First Aid certifications may be required within the first year of employment. Certification requirements for a Camp Director may be required after first year of employment.WAGES: $35,000+ /year. BENEFITS: No. DAYS/HOURS: Vary.
