Seeking a Tutor for the MT Youth Challenge Academy (MYCA): The Montana Youth Challenge is seeking qualified applicants to serve as tutors for students at the Academy. This Tutor position is a temporary variable position contingent upon continued grant funding. Applicants may work up to 90 days per year. Hours and times will be determined and scheduled by the Lead Teacher. This position will work with Cadets to help them achieve their academic goals while at the Academy in Math, English, Science, and Social Sciences. Montana Youth Challenge Academy provides two 22-week sessions of development, per year, for approximately 110 youth participants ranging in age from 16 to 18 years in each session. Minimum Qualifications:Two (2) years of college experience combined with experience working with youth. Preferred qualifications:A bachelor's degree and experience teaching. Hours:Tutors are expected to tutor a minimum of three hours per week. Maximum hours per week will be set by the lead teacher in accordance with available funding. Conditions of employment:Must pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and driving record check. Must have a valid driver's license. This vacancy announcement is open until filled.
