NORTHWESTERN ENERGY Town Manager Rate 1 in ENNIS, Montana

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Journeyman Lineman
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Commercial Drivers License and satisfactory driving record
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and safety policies/procedures
  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
  • Willing to act as project foreman
  • Ability to work overtime including call out availability for evenings and weekends - especially in response to acute service needs
  • Live within an area approved by the company that allows for adequate response to our customers in call out and emergency situations
  • Ability to lift and manipulate equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to pass an employment physical, drug test and background check

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Communicate verbally to maintain safety on worksite and during emergency situations
  • Troubleshoot power outages, utility concerns and power quality issues
  • Perform low or high-voltage electrical work and meter-related service work as needed
  • Perform sustained work at heights including on ladders and poles, and in buckets
  • Locate underground services
  • Deliver non pay notices and perform connects and disconnects for non-payment
  • Perform service temporary connects/disconnects at the customer's request
  • Install and remove overhead and underground lines
  • Frame, install or replace poles
  • Perform rubber-gloving techniques to safely service high voltage lines and equipment
  • Repair street and company owned lighting
  • Set, check, replace and remove meters to monitor electrical consumption
  • Interact with the public and help resolve customer-billing and community involvement
  • Complete documentation as required
  • Assume leadership role in response to emergency situations
  • Plan projects and direct crews to complete work in day to day and emergency situations
  • Work as a team member to safely and efficiently complete work activities
  • Assist in snow removal to maintain access to utility equipment
  • Shovel to dig or backfill trenches for underground services, setting poles, etc.
  • Maintain company buildings and facilities at work locations, including shop upkeep and snow removal
  • Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
  • Ensure all actions are consistent with Northwestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives

Full-time position.

$61.80 per hour: 401K with company match up to 4% and non-elective contribution up to 7%; healthcare and wellbeing programs, including dental and vision; Health Savings Account (HSA); healthcare and dependent care flexible spending account (FSA); Employee Assistance Programs; Life Insurance; paid time off starting on your first day, plus 11 paid holidays.
