VIAD FOOD TRUCK CHEF (GLACIER NP) in Glacier National Park, Montana

  • Manage all aspects of food truck operations – scheduling, ordering, inventory, discipline, etc

  • Craft cost-effective and creative daily specials

  • Produce high quality and delicious cuisine

  • Communicate food truck needs to general manager or executive sous chef

  • Manage budgets in labor & food cost with help of general manager and executive sous chef

  • Invest in food truck team by training and teaching

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in keeping with federal and state standards

  • Keeps record of potential safety and maintenance issues and communicates details to supervisor

  • Offers assistance to guests and teammates where needed

  • Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties

  • 2-4 years head chef, kitchen manager, or food truck management experience in a high-volume food environment required

  • Culinary degree, professional culinary training, or equivalency in work experience required

  • Serv-Safe or equivalent food handlers certification required

  • Work-ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key

  • Be willing and able to work solo or as part of a team

  • Be committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standards

  • Be organized with a great eye for detail

  • Be kind to others and always bring your best

  • Be a good communicator, always suggesting ideas and solutions

  • Be helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mile

  • Be relaxed, flexible and able to handle a few curve balls

  • Be ready to have fun!
