DAWSON COUNTY EXTENSION OFFICE Administrative Assistant & 4-H Assistant in GLENDIVE, Montana
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting and bookkeeping and/or three years of related experience, or, an acceptable combination of related education and experience
- Knowledge of and skill in computers; electronic data processing; modern office practices and procedures; administrative techniques and principles of organization; accounting; budgeting; techniques and practices of research methodology; data collection and preliminary analysis; report writing; application and use of basic statistics; written and oral communications; database, spreadsheet and word processing applications
- Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain complex filing systems
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to work extra hours as required
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Perform a variety of complex clerical, secretarial and administrative work in creating and keeping official records
- Provide administrative support to the staff and assist in the administration in the development and execution of the standard operating policies and procedures of the department
- Promote and direct the Dawson County 4-H and Extension Homemaker programs
- May assist the Fair Director as needed
- Respond to inquiries from employees, citizens and others
- Provide customer service
- Produce, develop and distribute monthly 4-H newsletter and semi-annual homemaker letter
Part-time, working 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
$18.11 per hour. Benefits include: pro-rated benefits such as sick and vacation time, 11 paid holidays, Public Employee Retirement system, health and life insurance.
