DAWSON COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY Assistant Maintenance Engineer in GLENDIVE, Montana
ABOUT THE POSITION/DEPARTMENT:
The Assistant Maintenance Engineer position is with the Dawson County Corrections Facility (DCCF). This position is under the direct supervision of the Chief Maintenance Engineer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from High School or GED or HiSET equivalent, valid driver's license, able to pass a background check to obtain security clearance and pass required drug testing. Must hold a High-Pressure Boiler's License or be able to obtain one within 6 months of hire date. Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction. Must have good organizational skills. Must have great communication skills written and verbal.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Chief Maintenance Engineer in and with the following: operates and / or oversees and maintains major and ancillary facilities in DCCF to ensure facilities are safe and operational in accordance with County Policy and all applicable laws. Ensuring that plumbing, electrical, structural, and mechanical systems function properly and are maintained according to established procedures and applicable codes, and other duties as necessary or assigned. Serves as a member of the Administration Team. Able to work with the inmate population, public, security staff, volunteer staff, contracted staff, State and County Agencies, Law Enforcement, and other Institutions throughout the State.
HOURS/DAYS: Full-time, permanent position. Will work 40 hours per week with typical hours worked being Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
SALARY/BENEFITS: $22.12 per hour. Raises or adjustments per County Pay Plan. Position is eligible for benefits.
