DAWSON COUNTY Assistant Treasurer in GLENDIVE, Montana

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Accounting, finance or other closely related field and/or the equivalent experience of five (5) years of management, accounting, financial operations experience, including public/private sector lead/supervisor experience. Skills in accounting and computers; ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise good judgment. Must be able to be bonded. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible and accountable for monies received; prepare and maintain accurate records; post and balance taxes; maintain ledgers; execute cancellation, delinquencies and reinstatements of taxes; prepare and execute property tax billing; maintain licensing fees for school districts; prepare bank deposits; write checks; reconcile school and county warrants. Maintain balance in several accounts; prepare and execute license billings. Supervise personnel as assigned, including assigning and scheduling duties and issuing instructions, responding to grievances. HOURS/DAYS: Full-time position. Will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PAY/BENEFITS: Pay is $16.59/hr and benefits. TESTING REQUIRED: Applicants will complete 10-Key test and a 5 minute Typing Test.
