GLENDIVE POLICE DEPARTMENT Communications Officer in GLENDIVE, Montana

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: High school diploma or equivalent Good moral character Ability to pass a thorough background investigation No convictions of a crime that could have resulted in being imprisoned in a federal or state penitentiary Ability to pass a written test at the Police Department Must also complete testing through Job Service for Spelling - all levels, Spelling and Grammar (basic), Typing - Form Fill & Contact Data Entry, and Typing - 5 minute. DUTIES INCLUDE: Perform a variety of routine clerical, technical and administrative work in dispatching emergency services Assist the public with information and directions Keep official records Assist in administration of standard operating policies and procedures of the dispatch center Use office equipment, to include: data base systems, multi-line telephone, teletype, computer, photocopy and fax machine, radio base, TDD and paging systems Full-time, days and shifts to be varied Starting salary is $16.48 per hour, with raises to $16.80 after six months, and $17.91 after one year.
