We are currently in search of a positive, motivated self-starter to direct and support all Front Desk operations. We manage many brands, but we adhere to one promise: To make our guests feel welcome, to provide the highest quality experience and to respond to our guests' every need in a professional and authentic manner. Essential Functions: Responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel, responding to guest requests and safeguarding company assets. Analyze available data to determine the flow of incoming railroad guests, make adjustments in housekeeping labor schedule when necessary. Sell rooms not needed by the railroad to public commercial guests. Handling reservations and inquiries over the telephone and in-person. Requires: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers. Basic mathematical skills and considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderately-complex mathematical calculations without error. Ability to listen effectively and to speak English clearly. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and prepare complex reports of room availability and revenues generated. Ability to operate a computer, access specified websites, send and receive company-related email. Previous experience preferred; however, not required. **Hotel reservation desk is located in a busy diner, open 24/7** Specific shifts and work schedule will be discussed. Pay is $12.00 per hour.
