State of Montana Highway Maintenance CDL Driver/Equipment Operator - Glendive in Glendive, Montana

Montana Department of Transportationis recruiting for a Maintenance Technician in theGlendive Section. This position performs a variety of work as a laborer, lead worker, equipment operator and truck driver for highway maintenance activities. The Maintenance Technician operates a variety of equipment, including trucks, to perform regular maintenance activities such as ditch cleaning, patching, overlays, fence repairs, lawn mowing and material or equipment transportation. In winter, loads sanding material and does snow removal and sanding. Applicants with a Class B license or a learner's permit and experience are encouraged to apply. * * Maintenance Technician previous experience Levels A successful candidate will be placed at a higher salary level withdocumented CDL experience from another city, county, state or tribal highway road department where you were employed for the purpose of road maintenance. Level I - $27.59-entry level* *Level II - $28.09 -1 year of documented maintenance experience. Level III - $28.59 -3 or more years of documented maintenance experience. This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire. _ _ _Additional Information_ * Successful applicants must live or relocate within 45 road miles of the assigned maintenance section and must have a telephone or be reasonably accessible to the section headquarters.
