ONCE MORE THRIFT STORE Thrift Store Associate in GLENDIVE, Montana
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions, such as procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Understanding of retail cash management systems
- Ability to operate a cash register and/or utilize financial software
- Knowledge and experience with preparing bank deposits
- Mature, have good judgment and work in a professional manner
- Ability to operate a personal computer, word processing and data management software, copy machine and facsimile
- Ability to answer telephones in prescribed manner
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment, which at times may be stressful or emotionally charged
- One year prior retail experience preferred
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Assist with distribution of merchandise to sales floor
- Assist with display merchandising as directed
- Follow pricing policies when setting prices on incoming merchandise and deciding appropriate discounts of existing merchandise
- Assist with sorting, pricing and stocking store items
- Assist customers with questions and purchases
- Demonstrate high sensitivity to customer service to ensure customers have positive shopping experience
- Role model behavior expected when interacting with customers
- Assist with and utilize all aspects of the cash management systems, including cash handling, check processing and daily banking
- Assist with daily cleaning and maintenance activities
- Fill vacant shifts or extend work hours as needed
- Assist with scheduling and ordering supplies for store
Part-time to full-time, including weekends and evenings as scheduled, with intermittent overtime.
Pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
