BAGWELL TREE SERVICE Tree Trimmer/Laborer in GLENDIVE, Montana

We are hiring!  JR with Bagwell Tree Service is looking for the right person to help this business to grow. The right person will have the following:

* Primary Responsibilities:*

  • Clear sites, streets, and grounds of tree logs, branches, leaves, and other debris
  • Load debris and refuse onto trailers and haul it away for disposal
  • Prune, cut down, fertilize, and spray trees as directed by tree surgeons
  • Clean, sharpen, and lubricate tools and equipment
  • Having a CDL is preferred but not required

Eventually working into the ability to:

  • Prune or treat trees or shrubs using handsaws, hand pruners, clippers, and chainsaws
  • Operate skid steer with various attachments to complete job
  • Work off the ground in the tree canopy, potentially using truck-mounted lifts
  • Cut away dead or excess branches from trees or shrubs to maintain right-of-way for roads, sidewalks, or utilities, or to improve appearance, health, and value of trees
  • May use climbing equipment or buckets of extended truck booms to access work areas
  • Inspect trees to determine if they have diseases or pest problems

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor work environment, often at heights
  • Exposure to weather conditions, such as extreme temperatures, wind, and rain
  • Potential for physical demands, including lifting, carrying, and climbing

Hours and Pay:  Working Monday -- Friday with occasional weekends. Pay will start at $20/ hour and up depending on experience. The rate of pay will be discussed at the interview.
