ACTION FOR EASTERN MONTANA Weatherization Technicians in GLENDIVE, Montana
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Montana Drivers License and liability insurance
- Basic knowledge of building components and installation standards and construction quality standards
- Knowledge of basic mathematical calculations and weatherization practices
- Skill in interpersonal communication, record keeping, inventory, writing, operation of a computer, calculator, copy machine and other office equipment
- Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions, be exposed to animals and be exposed to hazardous substances and gases
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing with clients, landlords, contractors and agency staff with a professional attitude and approach
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, crawl in areas with low clearance, operate hand and power tools, operate testing equipment, operate a computer, calculate and maintain records and work closely on a daily basis with Crew and Auditor
- Ability to occasionally works outside normal office hours due to the amount of travel involved
- Experience in residential weatherization and/or the construction business preferred
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Perform production work, which includes: installation of weatherization materials and weather-strips; glass and door replacement; install water heater wraps and insulation
- Perform duties requiring attention to details, accuracy and timeliness
- Travel to homes in 17-county service area to install weatherization material
- Keep clear and accurate records and confidentiality
- May deal with difficult clients and deadlines
Full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
$17.50 per hour and up, depending on experience. Benefits include: Employer paid insurance (preferred provider-90/10, non-preferred provider-80/20, $500 deductible), sick leave and vacation; and 401K.
