Armed Security - Full Time

Location: Great Falls, MT

Rate: $19.00/HR - 3 Day Work Week 12.5 HR Shifts

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.

Our highly sought after Armed Security officer positions include full training if you have the right experience for this Client Site. If you have experience in security, law enforcement or military you are a great fit for this role.

Job Summary:

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Precludes unauthorized access to facilities, and the conversion, theft or intentional destruction of physical assets. Responds to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response as dictated by the situation and protocol. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.

Position Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • Standard computer / technology skills needed

  • Must be able to provide exceptional customer service to our clients and their guests

  • Must be responsible, accountable, objective, and have a strong work ethic

  • Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal / written communication

  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus

  • Customer service background preferred

  • Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner

  • Security experience required or prior military, law enforcement, or corrections experience preferred

  • PSR evaluation required

  • Proven Firearm experience

  • Must be willing to work overnights and weekends

  • Must have the ability to follow specific safety and security protocols with attention to detail

  • Safe Driver Certification (Valid MT DL)

  • Armed Qualifications and Physical Abilities Assessment (to include 1.5 mile run under 21min)

  • Must meet all State GC and Firearm Licensing guidelines

  • DOJ Criminal background check required
