Reporting:

The Aviation Procurement Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Maintenance.

    Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Quote part sales within 24 hours; preferably same day.

  • Work in conjunction with 'purchasing business unit' to apply freight charges on shipments.

  • Check shipments of all package crates and skids to ensure customer receives precisely what they require.

  • Process quotes on excess inventory.

  • Make customer contacts in person, by fax, phone or service call to move excess inventory.

  • Code equipment parts and unit movements on weigh bills accurately.

  • Keep accurate, up-to-date records on all freight movements for re-importing of equipment if necessary.

  • Procure import documentation when necessary, for equipment.

  • Provide data on product costs, vendor performance and demographics.

  • Makes recommendations to manager regarding improvements in efficiencies.

  • Perform duties as requested by manager.

    Qualifications:

  • Genial, friendly manner.

  • Minimum high school education or equivalent.

    Experience:

  • 1 -3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment as a buyer.
