Kairos Youth Services Direct Youth Care Staff in GREAT FALLS, Montana
36 HOUR OVERNIGHT SHIFTThursday 2PM-10PMFriday 2PM-10PM Saturday 4PM-12AMSunday 4PM-12AMUnder direct supervision of the Program Manager, is responsible for providing for the care, guidance, and supervision of up to 12 male adolescents within prescribed program policies. Specific duties include the following: scheduling and documenting all youth appointments; maintaining prescriptions; insuring resident's files maintain required records; shopping for groceries and household items; maintaining service rosters; reconcile petty cash; insure the home and van are maintained; provide transportation to youth as necessary; preparing and documenting nutritious and well balanced meals; supervising and monitoring household chores; providing personal and crisis related counseling and social skills training; maintaining daily logs of events and resident's behaviors; attending staff meetings/ training sessions; and resolving milieu disruption issues.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience working with troubled, delinquent, and or severely emotionally disturbed youth. A working knowledge of adolescent behavior and needs. Ability to communicate and relate with youth of diverse backgrounds, staff, social service agencies, and the community at large; to organize one's time efficiently and wisely; and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Demonstrated problem solving skills. A High School Degree or its equivalent is required, and some pertinent post high school education is preferred but not mandatory. OR Any combination of education and relevant/reasonable experience.Must have a valid Montana Driver’s License.
