TOWN PUMP Hotel Maintenance Supervisor in GREAT FALLS, Montana

Basic Statement of FunctionsQualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Oversees HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Ensures that all projects are completed, including quarterly preventative maintenance work. Works closely with any craftsmen/tradesmen, and meets regularly with management to discuss maintenance operations. Maintains a flexible work schedule and keeps daily logs. QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related supervisory experience in hotel industry preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.COMPUTER SKILLS:Must have a basic working knowledge of computers in order to manage the hotel?s maintenance and log book application.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables instandardized situations.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:*Valid Driver?s License with Acceptable Driving RecordOTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:*Ability to work varied number of hours per week on a rotating basis.*Must display a high degree of pride and integrity in job performance.*Ability to learn and comprehend all company policies pertaining to his or her position and employment, including safety regulations.*Must be neat in appearance, courteous, friendly, and have knowledge of what to do or say in dealing with people.*Must be able to work with little or no supervision; be a self-starter, curious, with the ability to identify potential problems before they arise and act on them to prevent serious issues.*Ability to wear a uniform at all times while on duty.*Ability to communicate ideas and describe the nature of work to be done to outside tradesmen.*Ability to complete and report (verbally and in writing) the completion of assigned tasks.*Ability to maintain good rapport with the housekeeping department.*Ability to communicate with subordinates and fellow staff members any problems, questions or situations that may arise.*Maintains a high degree of confidentiality.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Responsible for maintenance of the entire building and care of the grounds.2.Responsible for ice machines, swimming pools, spas, saunas, fitness rooms, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, rooftop and exhaust units.3.Ensures that all projects are completed on time, and according to the necessary specifications.4.Orders and maintains a supply of commonly used items.5.Maintains an inventory of all tools and equipment, and assists with annual inventory count of same.6.Performs repairs in guest rooms and leaves room in a rentable condition.7.Unclogs drains, performs temporary and permanent leak repairs, replaces faulty switches, timers, outlets and cords (vacuum and lamp); patches drywall.8.Maintains high-use small equipment such as vacuums and carpet cleaners.9.Will work with the General Manager to create departmental budget and to control spending.10.Maintains shuttle van condition, including regular cleaning of
