North 40 Outfitters in Great Falls, MT is looking to hire a Full-Time IT Support Technician to join our team.  We believe that each team member plays a vital role in the success of our company.  We are looking for authentic and enthusiastic people who love our lifestyle and believe in service before self.  As an IT Support Technician at North 40, you will be the first point of contact for the I.T. department and would be responsible for assisting employees troubleshoot and resolve I.T. issues.

This full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm. This shift can vary and include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.

  • Drive to be dependable, and to perform well against the expectations of the role

  • 5 years of previous experience

  • Software - Operating systems, active directory, business and retail applications (Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, Point of Sale, Warehousing, Order Management, etc.)

  • Hardware – Desktop/Laptop hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, desktop and laptop security and accessories, printers, faxes, Point of Sale registers and Credit Card scanners, RF guns/scanners, etc.

  • Telecommunication Systems— Phones (analog and digital), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Radio Frequency, etc.

  • Certifications (a plus)—MSE certified, Office365 certified, ITIL certified, forklift and personnel lift certified, etc.

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • The ability to adapt from sitting for periods of time to standing and walking for periods of time; lift 20-50 pounds on an occasional basis while using correct lifting, loading, and carrying technique; and bend, stoop, crawl, and climb.

  • Helpdesk/Desktop support by receiving requests and complaints, answering phone calls and emails, providing assistance when required, and prioritizing and resolving issues quickly.

  • Courteously and proactively assist our internal customers with a friendly demeanor, concentrating on their needs.

  • Politely and appropriately adjust to difficult or agitated customers

  • Demonstrate friendly and proper phone and email etiquette

  • Contribute to store success and safeguard company assets by adhering to standards, assisting others, and recognizing and preventing losses and incidents 

  • Follow-up on open issues that arise throughout the course of daily duties and/or other assignments being performed

  • Troubleshoot and resolve or research IT issues to find resolutions or coordinate the escalation of support requests to senior team members when appropriate

  • Document the support of resolution within the ITSM system.

  • Research, evaluate, and assist with the setup of new IT user products computers, and equipment with the company standards configuration

  • Implement upgrades and schedule maintenance

  • Set up, install, implement new computer hardware/software as needed.

  • Perform additional duties and assignments as requested.

  • Understanding of correct lifting and loading techniques.  Physical ability to lift and carry 0-10 lbs. continuously, 10-25 lbs. frequently, and 25-55 lbs. occasionally, and team lift anything over 55 lbs.
