URSULINE CENTRE Janitor and Maintenance Position in GREAT FALLS, Montana
The historic Ursuline Centre currently has an opening for a full-time maintenance/custodial position. Perform a broad range of janitorial and maintenance duties at the Ursuline Retreat and Conference Centre. Responsible for managing and monitoring a low-pressure steam boiler. Responsible for meeting room set up and tear down, moving tables, chairs and furniture as needed. Will empty garbage, clean restrooms, sweep and mop floors, and other janitorial duties as needed. Assist with all types of general building repairs to include painting and miscellaneous light repair work. Responsible for seasonal maintenance such as snow removal, sweeping walks, watering and mowing grass, trimming hedges, and other incidental seasonal tasks. Must be able to work independently. * Maintain cleanliness of building interior, exterior and grounds keeping * Low-pressure steam boiler experience preferred but not necessary * Communicate effectively with office staff on setup needs and general repairs * Light carpentry, plumbing and repair skills and knowledge preferred * Paint structures, walls, and other items * Ability to make sound decisions with attention to detail * Excellent ability to follow-through on tasks and work independently * Able to lift equipment up to 50 lbs. with assistance as necessary * Ability to do strenuous activities requiring physical stamina, including lifting, climbing, and bending * Direct other maintenance staff * Must have valid driver's license * Benefits include free lunch program, optional SIMPLE IRA employer contribution program, major federal holiday pay, vacation pay upon one-year anniversary, sick leave * A background check is required The Ursuline Centre is a EOE.
