Packages product following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). 2. Fulfills packaging schedule in a safe and orderly manner. 3. Maintains an accurate pack count in every case. 4. Ensures that cases are properly taped. 5. Maintains good housekeeping principles at all times and maintains an organized and neat work area. 6. Operates equipment safely and effectively. 7. Communicates effectively with all departments. 8. Ensures proper pallet configurations and layer count per finished product specifications. 9. Strives to minimize pasta waste and prevents product from hitting the floor. 10. Ensures that bag and case codes are correct. 11. Insures that packaging materials are kept clean. 12. Communicates effectively with the Line Driver that packaging materials are readily available for use. 13. Ability to learn and run equipment in absence of Packaging Operator (PO). 14. Notes problems with finished product and informs PO, Floater and/or Lead. 15. When Line is stopped, work area/Line is to be swept, cleaned, vacuumed, and organized. 16. At the end of shift, ensure that the work area is clean and ready for the next shift to start. 17. Performs other duties as assigned by the Packaging Operator, Floater, Lead and/or Packaging Manager.QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education: Attended high school or equivalent. Minimum Experience: Some prior plant or commercial experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of packaging principles, processes and good manufacturing practices is helpful. Understanding of personnel and safety standards. Able to identify quality deficiencies and assist to correct them. Able to function as a motivated team member in a highly dynamic environment. Able to work and communicate effectively in a team setting. Able to learn, troubleshoot and multi-task.
