PURPOSE AND ROLE:
Calumet Montana Refining has an immediate opening for a full time Process Engineer. The primary role of the Process Engineer is to provide daily refinery operations support.There is a strong emphasis placed on ability to provide technical support, troubleshooting and improve refinery processes.The Process Engineer reports to the Lead Process Engineer.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\*Provide daily process monitoring of the refinery processes
\*Provide process troubleshooting of the refinery processes
\*Provide engineering design and project management for small to medium projects
\*Provide process engineering designs and services during engineering, construction, and startup of projects
\*Provide technical support to optimize daily unit operations; i.e., operating costs, product yields, catalystactivity, chemicals usage, and energy utilization
\*Provide technical support to meet all throughput targets
\*Provide technical support for the development of operating procedures
\*Provide technical support to operations to achieve zero environmental exceedances
\*Make project recommendations for improving unit yields or improving energy utilization
\*Work closely with Safety, Environmental, Operations, Logistics, Maintenance and Project Engineering in providing technical support and during all phases of project development andexecution
\*Participate in PHA reviews and fulfill other MOC requirements
\*Additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
\*Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
\*5 years Process Engineering experience in a refinery required, 10 years refinery experience preferred
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
\*Good verbal and written communications skills required.
\*Computer proficiency required
\*Strong interpersonal & teamwork skills
\*Field savvy and willing to work in challenging outdoor conditions
\*Capability of working with all levels of the organization.
