Special Information: The FWP Regional Headquarters located in Great Falls, Montana, is the administrative center for regional employees and volunteers. FWP Regional Headquarters manages the abundant wildlife, fisheries and parks programs located in seven regions of Montana and provides varied support to the overall success of these programs. The Regional Headquarters is the primary contact for the general public with the department and includes providing information on rules, regulations, statutes, recreational opportunities, and other general information across all divisions (i.e. Parks, Enforcement, Wildlife, Fisheries, Human Resources, Comm Ed) within the department whether it is in person, electronically/virtually or via telephone. Job Duties (narrative summary): The Regional Office Manager reports to the Administrative Support Operations Bureau Chief. This position is responsible for managing the regional building and grounds, coordinating the operations and maintenance of the headquarters facility, monitoring expenditures related to the Operations & Financial Services Division's budgets, and assisting in development of Executive Planning Process budget requests. The Regional Office Manager exercises leadership in coordinating with other program managers for budget formulation, and work planning, and facility maintenance to succeed in achieving the region's goals and objectives. This position supervises and trains 6 full and part time employees and occasional work study or temporary employees who are responsible for providing a high level of customer service to the general public on laws, regulations, rules and information for hunting, fishing, trapping, hunter ed, bow hunter ed programs, parks and other recreation, the status of current fire restrictions, selling the correct licenses, processing drawing applications, providing block management information, website navigation, and directing people to appropriate outside agencies. This position oversees and directs the financial aspects of processing license remittances and recreational use fees and providing the Regional Supervisor with administrative support. Scheduling and maintaining Community Meeting Room's available within the regional headquarters office. Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience): The knowledge, skills, and abilities of this position are normally attained through combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Business administration and at least 3 years of job-related experience.
