North40 Outfitters Small Engine Department Manager-Corporate Office in Great Falls, Montana
The Small Engine Department Manager is responsible for a strategic vision on how to grow and maintain success within the Small Engine department; training, oversight, and management of two Small Engine departments within our distribution centers and related employees; working with Stores to provide best practices to ensure great customer service while maintaining North 40 Outfitters standards.
Advanced knowledge of small engine repair
Basic business understanding: margin, inventory management and cash drawer/cash handling procedures
Intermediate computer skills
Comfort with online ordering portals, training and parts research
Must be experienced in providing top-quality customer service and handling customer conflicts and issues well
Knowledge of administration and supervision is necessary, personnel coaching and discipline, and leadership techniques
Must be able to effectively communicate, motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job, setting goals and performance standards, and providing constant follow-up
Physical Ability Requirements: Presence at the job and ability to perform the job are essential functions, adapt from sitting for periods of time to standing and walking for periods of time, lift 20-30 pounds on an occasional basis and up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis while using correct lifting, loading and carrying technique and bending stooping, crawling and climbing.
*Required to travel monthly to different Store locations, for up to one week at a time.* *Periodic travel for vendor training is required.*
