YOUR ROLE
In this role, the Engineer will provide a detailed body of knowledge that can accurately predict the performance of different shapes and materials used in structures to resist loads and stresses on those structures. This is performed through technical design, calculation, and analysis to ensure that the projects we build, such as bridges and buildings, are safe, stable, and functional for occupants. These responsibilities include:
Working with clients to understand their vision and scope of the project.
Understanding detailed project requirements to design the “bones” and load-bearing elements of a project.
Leverage modeling software such as RIVIT to ensure the structural design is coordinated with other engineering disciplines.
Ensure precise calculations, analysis, and safety in project design through meticulous attention to detail
Working cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines, architects, and stakeholders
Work on a variety of project types, including education, commercial, multi-family, and other public facilities.
Provide engineering expertise support across other internal engineering groups

YOUR STRENGTHS
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) Certification preferred
4+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering work
Proficient with engineering software such as RISA, RAM, Tedds, Enercals, and REVIT/BIM
Principal knowledge of load calculations, structural analysis, design and detailing
Working knowledge of the design of structural material including steel, concrete, wood, and masonry
Ability to be self-directed and entrepreneurial
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
