Opportunities, Inc. Therapist/Addictions Counselor in Great Falls, Montana
Responsibilities include providing high-quality care and counseling for individuals with varying levels of addiction/mental health concerns to assist with motivating change; Establish and maintain a relationship of trust with families and be responsive and sensitive to each individual’s and family’s unique cultural, social, and linguistic backgrounds. This person will be required to work with individuals living on the streets who have addiction and/or mental health issues; Develop a working knowledge of community resources; Ensure adherence to applicable federal, state, local, and program standards, policies, and/or procedures by keeping abreast of these requirements; Establish and maintain a relationship of trust and rapport with all community partners, stakeholders and clients. Candidate will be expected to become completely familiar with the Agency’s mission and philosophy and fully participate in the accomplishments of Agency goals and objectives; Be an advocate for the low and fixed income, and promote social and economic justice.
Qualifications: Preferred Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Addictions, or related field including a LCSW, LCPC, or LAC license issued by the State of Montana Board of Behavioral Health. This person must have leadership abilities and the ability to communicate effectively with people of various social and economic backgrounds and to accept and utilize supervision. No prior conviction of physical or sexual abuse of children is required. Valid and insurable MT State Driver’s License is required.
