Position:
The role of our Chief Steward is to maintain the kitchen and event spaces, receive orders, and assist our Food & Beverage team in the execution of special events. This role is directly responsible for the management of the Steward and Event Crew departments and its employees. Candidates should be responsible, energetic, and above all positive. Previous food & beverage experience is required .

Primary Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dishwashing machine, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing station, waste removal, recycling, and linens
Ensure that all clean wares are stored in appropriate areas
Lead the receiving and distribution of Culinary daily orders
Manage the set-up of various events and inventory.
Responsible for upholding our standards for stored equipment and its usage
Oversee and assist in the set-up, breakdown, and maintenance of all function spaces.
Assist in the Food & Beverage operations
Follow and practice safe food handling procedures, as well as safety procedures in the kitchen
Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
Complete other tasks assigned by our Food & Beverage Management Team
Supervise a team of Stewards and Event Crew to meet deadlines and daily assignments
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to receiving and distributing daily orders, washing and organizing dishes/equipment, set-up of various events, and inventory
Identify unusable product and communicate with our Chefs for resolutions
Continuous control and analysis of the following:
Costs
Breakage
Quality of support provided to other sections
Guest satisfaction
Handles administrative work and keeps updated files on the following:
Standards
Training
Outlets
Meetings
Miscellaneous
Assists F&B Management in setting goals and developing strategies, policies, and procedures
Determines the minimum/maximum par levels and controls all materials and equipment
Communicates purchasing needs with F&B Management
May require additional responsibilities as the value in this position increases

Always maintain a clean and neat appearance.
Looking for team members with:
High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work
2-4 years Food & Beverage experience required
Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Display a sense of urgency, strong attention to detail, and a desire to learn.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, kitchen/resort guidelines, SOPs, and other relevant documents
Enjoy the challenge of effectively managing multiple tasks without sacrificing quality
Work flexible hours
Strong knowledge of kitchen/restaurant safety and cleanliness standards
Ability to operate dishwashing machine
Knowledge of world class hospitality and service
Valid Montana Food Handler’s License
Valid State Driver’s License
