The role of the Lodging Director oversees all lodging operations including but not limited to Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping, Transportation of guests, and the Green O. Ensures staff is providing world-class service to our guests while balancing the needs of guests, associates, and owners.
The Primary Functions are:
Trains staff to Forbes standards and leads by example.
Oversees weekly schedule and monitors staff scheduling to flex based on business needs.
Directly Oversees both Front Office at The Resort at Paws Up and Lodging portion of the Green O.
Maintains through knowledge of accommodations, package plans, and Resort facilities.
Check guests in and out including preparation of folios and authorizing payments.
Act as Manger on Duty (MOD).
Responds to guest needs and anticipates their unstated ones.
Ensure daily checklists are completed in all areas.
Provides indirect leadership to Reservations, Transportation, Concierge, & Housekeeping
Expert knowledge of Maestro PMS, Salesforce, the Paws Up app, and all other programs and systems.
Monitors daily arrivals and ensures accommodations are prepared prior to check in.
Leads stand-up and arrivals meeting
Audits daily arrivals and departures to ensure accurate guest flight information.
Provide feedback to the team, both positive and constructive, to ensure we are hitting our targets.
Analyze guest feedback and provide strategic direction to improve overall rating.
Escalation point for guest feedback and service recovery situations. Must be comfortable accepting constructive feedback and correcting issues.
Positive attitude always, especially under pressure.
Looking for Team Members with:
Relevant work experience as a Guest Relations Manager, Hotel Manager, or similar role in a luxury environment.
Understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws.
Hands-on experience with Hotel Management software (PMS).
Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Customer service drive with outstanding communication and active listening skills.
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
Leadership skills along with the ability to motivate a team into high performance.
Ability to work flexible hours and open availability.
Strong sense of responsibility and a professional presentation.
BS degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or relevant field.
Valid State Driver’s License.
