We are hiring Event Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team! The role of the Event Bartender is to be passionate about hospitality and providing the highest quality of customer service to our guests, while performing beverage duties at outdoor and private dining events. You will be part of a team in setting up and breaking down of all our special events, while maintaining the highest service of standard in compliance with The Resort at Paws Up’s policies. You will responsibly serve, and professionally present guests with high end cocktails and bar programs during special events.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setup events; move tables and chairs, place down tablecloths, collect proper beverages/products, glassware and supplies, and more.

  • Responsible for alcohol inventory and distribution during events.

  • Take orders from guests.

  • Know the sequence of service, and follow it each time when serving guests.

  • Attend to guests upon entrance.

  • Direct guests through the dining and activity area.

  • Maintain knowledge of the property, and educate guests about The Resort.

  • Keep up-to-date knowledge on all beverage items including preparation, any allergens, and alternative preparations, and specials; communicate restrictions to Food & Beverage team.

  • Check beverages before serving to guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature, order, and portions are correct.

  • Converse with the guests at a high level, being aware of their needs, and fulfill special guest requests as instructed by management or the guest directly.

  • Ensure confidentiality of guests before and throughout their stay.

  • Assist with guest service issues accurately and promptly; communicate effectively with Banquet Manager to assist.

  • Perform opening and closing duties.

  • Maintain bar settings, cleanliness and service throughout the course of the event.

  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related coursework

  • Minimum of one year of experience in food & beverage, preferably in a resort or fine dining setting

  • Knowledge of world class hospitality and service

  • Valid TIPS Certification

  • Proficient ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, while remaining organized and prioritizing workload throughout the day

  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner under periods of high demands, with guests, team members, and management

  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company driving policy
