We are currently hiring for a Fleet Manager! The Fleet M anager will be in charge of supervising and performing all required maintenance services and repairs for the fleet of The Resort at Paws Up to include but not limited to; transportation fleet, resort vehicles, heavy construction equipment, cattle operations equipment, trailers, RV’s, boats, jet skis, boats, landscaping equipment (small engines, mowers, weed-eaters, trimmers, power was h ers), diesel engines, tire repair and install.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage with expertise and leadership skills to drive continuous improvement, best practice implementation, talent development, safety culture, and highest level of service for exceptional fleet performance and upkeep
Coordinate all repairs and service with the Transportation & Fleet Manager to optimize operations and time of equipment/vehicle servicing
Create, establish and manage a “safety first” environment in the mechanic Facilities building
Maintain exceptional working relationships and open lines of communication with all other departments, vendors, employees, and guests
Keep Director of Facilities and Fleet & Transportation Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so that prompt and corrective action can be taken when appropriate
Understand each maintenance, service and repair function and train according to The Resort’s standards
Manage training and growing exceptional team members
Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of fleet mechanics; actively promote, train, coach, and recognize performance
Identify , address, and document individual team member performance according to standard operating procedure
Maintain detailed records of work and maintenance performed, track cost and reoccurring problems for historical data analysis utilizing master vehicle list
Perform maintenance, operation, and repair of electrical, mechanical and body of all fleet
Order equipment materials and maintain an adequate inventory of required supplies for repairs
Operate hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment; keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance
Perform preventative maintenance; ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; completing repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, maintenance facilities, and work areas
Attend and facilitate mandatory meetings
Communicate and maintain service timelines and priorities
Complete all service and repairs as assigned
Maintain flexible hours to accommodate guest, special event needs and operations
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Display hospitality and professionalism to our guests and team members always, take pride in representing The Resort at Paws Up professionally with our guests and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal, ethical, and confidential manner.
Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Resort team members to foster and promote a positive working environment.
Always maintain a clean and neat appearance .
Perform work in a safe and high-quality manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Position requires full availability including evenings, weekends, holidays or as needed
5+ years of experience in fleet service, repair and shop management.
Knowledge of OSHA, ASE, ordinances and other federal and state requirements
Strong knowledge of repair codes, rules/regulations regarding the repair of heavy equipment, vehicles & small engines.
Knowledge of fleet operations, preparation repair plans, repairs, maintenance, exceptional quality of service standards, and long-range planning
Exceptional management skills with a proven track record in mentoring/leading a successful team
Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, professionally polished, have an ability to work under pressure, be accountable and flexible
Valid State Driver’s License with good driving record
