Job DescriptionRavioli County Park District #259 Kurtz Ln, Hamilton, MT 59840Assistant Aquatics ManagerDefinitionUnder the supervision of the Aquatic Manager, the Assistant Aquatic Manager is responsible for coordinating all swim lesson programs and assists with all aspects of the aquatic operations.Duties/Essential Functions:Manage front desk operationsTeach afternoon swim lessonsAssist with lifeguarding when necessaryAssist with and organize aquatic related programsTrain and supervise swim lesson instructionsReview brochures and schedules as neededAssist with promotional programsEnsure compliance with safety regulations set forth by managerImplement pool policies and procedures with staff and guestsAssist with keeping staff on taskScheduling swim lessonsKeep record of patron count and pass renewalAssist with organizing in-service trainingsCommunicate positively with the publicUpdates all social media, website, newsletter, and flyersMinimum QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent Experience:At least 5 years as a Lifeguard (required)At least 5 years interacting with the public in a workplace setting (required)At least 5 years working with children in a structured environment (required)At leas 5 years experience in an aquatic environment (preferred)Licenses and Other Requirements:Red Cross, CPR, and First AidLifeguard instructor certification required within 6 months of hireKnowledge and Abilities:
General pool operation including water chemistryScheduling and staffingExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google WorkspaceGeneral knowledge of or ability to learn email newsletter programs, social media platforms, basic website edits, and CanvaAbility to:Lift at least 50 lbsOrganize swim lessons and communicate with parents of studentsAnswer questions from the public clearly and effectivelyStamina to perform removing patrons from the waterPerform resuscitation techniques requiring stamina and other first aid measuresAble to climb up lifeguard chairsSweep, vacuum, scrub facility, empty garbage cans Operate cash registerUse judgement to determine if patrons are safely and properly conducting themselves in the facility
