Health Information Management Coding Specialist opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!!
Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Coding Specialist position in our Health Information Management department. The HIM Coding Specialist accurately assigns and sequences ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4 and HCPCS codes for reimbursement and data collection in compliance with state and federal regulations, established coding guidelines and internal coding policies. Employees must meet departmental productivity and accuracy standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma, General equivalency diploma (GED), coding program preferred
Licensures, Certification, Registrations : coding certification required (CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CPC-H)
Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities : Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, understanding of disease processes, good written and verbal communication skills
Experience: 2 years prior coding experience preferred
Benefits: This is a full-time position (40 hrs/wk) and is eligible for the full benefit package.
