BIG HORN COUNTY CLERK II - DEEDS AND RECORDS in HARDIN, Montana

Big Horn County is seeking a Clerk II - Deeds and Records / Rural Addressing. DUTIES: Work performed may include the typing of letters and other documents from copy or draft; waiting on customers at the counter, providing information, and answering inquiries; making copies; performing some routine data entry as assigned; bookkeeping, including simple posting of prepared data and verification of data entered; answering telephone and dispatching messages as necessary; maintaining records as assigned; maintaining department files and preparing tabulations; operate a calculator and/or adding machine; and perform other related duties as may be assigned. (Job description available on request). QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school plus two years' experience as a Records Clerk. Computer skills required. Previous work experience with recording deeds and easements, and familiarity with legal descriptions is desirable; must possess a valid Montana Driver's license and must be an insurable driver. TESTING: A written test and oral interview will be administered. PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING: The successful applicant must undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
