Assistant Manager

Havre's Helping Haven is a local nonprofit thrift and resale store. The Haven relies heavily on good leadership within the store to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. We are looking for an individual who possesses excellent organizational skills, customer service, and communication skills to join our team. The right person will have a strong work ethic and a passion for helping others and  giving back to the community, as that is what our organization is built upon

This position requires strong organizational skills, time management skills, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

-  Working closely with the manager in all aspects of the store's needs. -  Cashiering. -  Helping with staff and volunteers -  Maintaining aspects of the Haven's social media presence and/or online sales. -  Maintaining safety, cleanliness, and organization of the store. -  Communicating with customers, community organizations, co-workers, and Board of Directors. -  As needed, opening/closing the store, making bank deposits, or other managerial duties of the store. -  Ensuring the flow of inventory - including sorting and inspecting donated items for quality, determining items to be processed for sales floor or redistributed through give-away events or donations to other organizations, implementing timely sales events to help move inventory, and restocking inventory on sales floor.

Qualifications & Requirements:

-  High school diploma or equivalent -  Verifiable work experience in a retail or customer service (references will be checked). -  Strong work ethic, including reliability, punctuality, and efficient use of time. -  Strong customer service skills and helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints -  trong organizational skills -- attention to detail without losing sight of larger goals -  Strong communication skills -- in-person, over the phone, and in written communications. -  Committed to working collaboratively within the community to help those in need and strengthen connections. -  Professionalism in appearance and conduct. -*  Must be able to pass a background check and/or drug test upon hire.* -  Physical Requirements: Standing for extended times, walking the store, pushing/lifting heavy items, occasionally climbing stepstools or ladders.
