Requirements: Must have one year of experience in commercial food preparation. Must have or be able to obtain sanitation certificate.Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days valid CPR certification. Must be able to pass a criminal history background check that conforms to the Health Care Worker Background Check Act.Duties: Work with a licensed dietician to plan, prepare and serve (3) meals a day for all residents, staff and resident guests. Inventory and order food through contracted vendor according to meal plans. Work closely with a contracted licensed dietician in meal planning. Follow and help carry out a residents written service plan as it pertains to dietary needs. Meals should include specialty and therapeutic diets if needed. Inventory, order, and maintain proper levels of fresh, frozen and staple food products each week in order to prepare meals according to menus. Stay within budgetary guidelines. Ensure that each resident has a weekly menu to post in their apartment. Ensure that lunch and dinner menus are posted in the Dining hall each day. Abide by all Health regulations as it pertains to food storage, preparation, safety and sanitation. Assist in serving meals. Assist in preparing for any Health Inspections. Attend initial training, in-service training sessions and food shows upon request.Learn and abide by all facility and Assisted Living rules and regulations.7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. various days
