Job Position : Ditchrider
Job Time Frame : Approximately April 1st to September 15th
Salary: $2,000 / month plus mileage
Job Description
Ditchrider reports to the North Chinook Irrigation Association commissioner. Carries out all responsibilities related to delivering water to the landowners / water users, including conferring with water users and commissioners. Will take water orders and communicate with the water users to ensure efficient use of water. Ditchrider shall operate the gates, check turnouts and waste-ways to regulate water usage and report or take care of problems as able and keep system clear of trash buildup. Small repair jobs and removal of debris may be necessary.
Ditchrider will be required to have their own phone and transportation and will be reimbursed mileage for use of their vehicle.
