Northern Montana Hospital Revenue Cycle Executive Director - Administration in Havre, Montana

Revenue Cycle Executive Director - Administration 24-hour responsibility for the department, including all physical and human resources. Directly manages and oversees the Business Services staff and is responsible to develop, plan, organize, and implement current and future strategies to bill customers, process payments, minimize bad debt, improve cash flow, and manage the overall health of the hospital receivables. Responsibilities also include managing the day-to-day activities as they relate to the revenue cycle team which includes the department functions of Patient Access, Business Services and Health Information Management. This position will work with all appropriate staff on revenue cycle performance to meet short term strategic goals and create written guidelines, policies, and procedures in accordance with the implementation of all work processes as a result of thorough analysis.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business or other related field OR equivalent required.

  2. Minimum of five years of experience in health care management, with Patient Financial Services experience required.

  3. Strong knowledge of billing/collection practices and methodologies as they relate to critical access hospitals and rural health clinics.

  4. Strong knowledge of basic coding, CPT, diagnosis and HCPCS codes.

  5. Ability to manage/analyze and identify top denied claims by insurance companies and CPT codes and ensure reasons for denials are corrected.

  6. Experience working with Meditech preferred.

  7. Strong background in financial management and knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to healthcare management.

  8. Strong managerial competencies in the areas of leadership and team development, coaching, and mentoring and situational assessment skills, with proven track record in building and developing high performing teams.

  9. Interact with all departments of the organization in an effort to interpret opportunities for improvement.

  10. Strong ethics and high level of personal and professional integrity.

  11. Strong analytical skills combined with strategic thinking and problem solving ability and adept in interpreting strategic vision into an operational model.

  12. Ability to work effectively, build trust, and partner at all levels of the organization.

  13. Individuals MUST maintain a satisfactory credit profile throughout employment with NMHC.

Salary is commensurate with up to 10 years of experience.
