Agile Center of Excellence Lead College Board - Technology Reston, VA or Remote About the Team 'Team Agile' at College Board is a tight knit team of 6 people containing the CB Agile Center of Excellence, CB Agile Portfolio Management, and agility related to work processes, finances, and providing tools and support that enable all teams to work in a nimble way. We lead, nurture, and guide the College Board's Agile journey and focus on continuous feedback and learning with a focus on empowering teams, transparency into all work, and a collaborative culture. About the Opportunity As our Agile Center of Excellence Lead, you help shape and emit our Agile culture. You focus on \`facilitating and nurturing Communities of Practice and Learning, with a focus on Agile as well as Product Development. You are a collaborative, positive, enthusiastic, pragmatic servant leader who demonstrates strong creativity and innovative thinking, demonstrates adaptability and agility, is passionate and/or knowledgeable about the education industry as well as Agile and product development trends, and can effectively communicate information across a wide range of stakeholders. In this role, you will: Convene and Facilitate (50%) Oversee our Product Education training program, anchored by an external vendor, that focuses on improving the skills of our product managers and product owners Design and convene Agile communities of practices based on identified needs across the organization for improving our agility Leverage guild/community of practice concepts (shared learning, best practices) to create forums for ad hoc / low ceremony sharing across multiple areas of College Board, focusing on further support for Product, Product Design, and Engineering teams. Facilitate team workshops to help new and/or existing teams understand Agile and Lean principles, Scrum, Kanban, etc. Curate and Radiate Information (50%) Curate Agile related content, keeping information organized, relevant, and easy to find for teams Create groups to review content and build learning pathways for agile and product learning areas Partner with external vendors and industry experts to convene learning opportunities related to Agile for the College Board About You You have: Expertise in Agile, product development, coaching and/or training with 3-5 years performing this type of work Outstanding facilitation skills Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with a wide variety of teams Ability to articulate benefits of Agile Outstanding knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in Agile Demonstrated expertise working with Kanban, Scrum, and/or Scrum ban Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to independently prepare, seek feedback, and distribute important communication to various audiences in a manner tailored to that audience Experience managing relationships with third-party training vendors Experience with mob programming, test driven development and/or DevOps Bachelor's degree is required OR preferred About Our Culture Our community matters, and we strive to practice and improve our culture daily.
