You are an experienced IT course designer and teacher at the high school level, or at post-secondary level with high school experience/interaction. You are excited to apply your experience and knowledge with Cybersecurity education to a role where you will lead the development, piloting, launch, and ongoing management and improvement of a new Pathway of high school IT courses and assessments. You will build approximately four sequential courses that will align to state career and technical education (CTE) standards. You will also be responsible for the development and oversight of the production of instructional materials for students to ensure all courses are engaging and relevant for students, and professional learning materials for teachers to ensure they succeed.Your deep commitment to educational equity and the potential of all students will be a major asset as you work to ensure the IT Pathway is designed to serve a diverse group of hundreds of thousands of high school students. Your experience providing consultation and implementing processes and strategies allow you to work effectively with teachers, higher education faculty, employers and workforce committees, and a diverse set of advisors to define and develop a curriculum, assessment, and credential for each Pathway course. Your exceptional communication skills and effective relationship management skills empower you to serve as a key spokesperson for the IT Pathway while presenting to internal stakeholders and ensuring that the Pathway is understood, accepted, and supported in K-12, higher education, and workforce communities.In this role, you will:Curriculum and InstructionCoordinate with broad coalition of stakeholders (especially K-12 and employers, as well as higher ed) to design the courses and assessments to meet state standards, and to align to secondary, postsecondary, and employer needs and requirements.Collaborate with internal College Board colleagues and external colleagues to develop instructional resources designed to meet teacher needs and increase course access and student success.AssessmentDesign assessments to validly demonstrate student technical skills and knowledge and to maximize opportunity for real-world acceptance (including readiness for springboard jobs).Manage the annual assessment development and scoring cycle, including exam content, scoring materials, and validity evidence.Work within and outside the College Board to develop assessment delivery approach.Product Strategy & LaunchMaintain a deep understanding of the career technical education (CTE) landscape and IT Pathways. The salary range for a new employee in this position is $88,000 to $145,000.
