Position Overview Helena Motors is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to manage and process financial transactions accurately and efficiently. This role ensures all vendor invoices and payments are handled in a timely, accurate, and professional manner while adhering to company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and proper authorization. Enter and process invoices into the accounting system. Reconcile discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and receipts. Payment Management: Prepare and execute payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers. Ensure timely payment of invoices to maintain vendor relationships and avoid late fees. Reconciliation and Reporting: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable ledger to ensure accuracy. Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable activities. Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues or discrepancies. Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure compliance with W-9 requirements. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and internal controls. Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate?s or bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
