State of Montana Administrative Assistant, Legal in Helena, Montana

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Office of Legal Affairs. This position is an Administrative Assistant to approximately 19 attorneys and Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) management team. This position is the first point of contact with OLA and is responsible for handling phone, walk-in and written inquiries. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * * * Knowledge of legal terminology and legal cite checking. * Knowledge of state Rules of Civil Procedure. * Knowledge of legal formatting requirements in various courts and other jurisdictions. * Ability to navigate State and Federal court systems. * Meet minimum qualifications: o High School diploma or equivalent and two years job-related college or vocational training. o Four years administrative support experience in legal settings including experience with pleadings, legal terminology, and filing processes with various court systems. o Equivalent combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. * * * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
