If so, then you may be interested in the Administrative Assistant position in the Business Standards Division. As an Administrative Assistant you will work with 33 different professional licensing boards to facilitate all aspects of board meetings. You will support services boards offer to applicants, licensees, and the general public. You will perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to callers. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have the following knowledge, skills or abilities: _Knowledge of_: * Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. * The structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. * Electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. * Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of both internal and external customer satisfaction. * Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. _Skills in_: * Communicate information effectively. * Time Management. * Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. * Decision Making. _Ability to_: * Manage multiple projects at once. * Be flexible and change direction on short notice. * Meet deadlines. * Create, maintain and enter information in databases. * Use computers for various applications. * Schedule & confirm meetings and event calendars. * Plan, schedule and confirm event schedules with multiple board members MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma * Two years of experience performing a variety of office support or clerical work * Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.* * This position may be covered by a Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association (VEBA) * HOW TO APPLY: You are REQUIRED to attach a cover letter and resume at the time of application.
