This position may be covered by a Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association (VEBA) *JOB DUTIES: As a Administrative Support Specialist, you will: * Payroll Processing - Assist with processing payroll and associated tasks in a timely and accurate manner. * Risk Exposure – process and track insurance claims. Maintain insurance asset information. * SABHRS Security – evaluate, submit and monitor access requests. * Technology Support – assist with minor technology related problems as well as hardware and software tracking. * Website Document Management – review, updated and monitor website information. * Reporting – assist with agency reporting needs. * Project Support – assist with annual, biennial and other projects as needed. * Conduct research, system/process analysis and data gathering analysis. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES: If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have the following knowledge, skills or abilities: Knowledge of (or ability to learn in a reasonable amount of time): * Payroll processes and practices. * Excel. * Database management. Skill in: * Communicating in a clear, concise and professional manner with a variety of stakeholders. * Managing workload in an efficient manner. * Analyzing practices and processes to look for more effective or efficient methods. * Research and analysis. * Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to: * Effectively work both in a team environment and independently to achieve objectives and timelines. * Present information orally and in writing to a diverse group of stakeholders. * Organize, prioritize and plan workload accordingly. * Adapt to changing conditions and work responsibilities in positive manner. * Be innovative to solve problems or implement solutions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Your preparation for this opportunity could include a combination of relevant experiences including: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, math or a closely related field * One year of applicable experience. * Experience with SABHRS is preferred. * Experience with Excel for data analysis is preferred. OR * Any combination of equivalent experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position will be considered.
