Live Energy Connect Product Description

The Oracle Energy and Water Live Energy Connect (LEC) product is a middleware application supporting the integration of utility systems and devices. It is a clustered application built on cloud-native technologies architected to meet the scale and complexities of the modern grid. LEC natively supports common networking protocols, such as DNP3 and ICCP, and multiple modern protocols important to the renewable space, such as IEEE 2030.5. In addition to deployments as a stand-alone OT middleware, LEC is a core component of the Oracle FlexSCADA and DERMS products.

Job Summary

Oracle is looking for an experienced application developer to join the LEC product development team. The candidate should be comfortable working as part of a small collaborative team and have experience contributing to complex software development projects. A working understanding of concepts related to networking, clustering, and microservices, and experience with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes is desirable. Experience with C/C++ and Python in a Linux environment is preferred, as is experience in and understanding of the operation of electrical utilities.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the review of functional requirements and the design of innovative, robust solutions

  • Write clean, maintainable, and extensible code and targeted unit tests

  • Collaborate and problem solve with peers, and contribute to code reviews

  • Assist with integration and performance testing

  • Support the resolution of customer issues

  • Provide input into the technical direction of the product and the team

US: Hiring Range: from $81,500 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
