Are you an experienced integration architect who is passionate about teaching and enabling others to be successful?

If so, we are looking for you to join the MuleSoft training and certification team as a senior manager to drive the development of our architecture curriculum. In this role, you will lead a team of subject matter experts (that are experienced integration architects) to maintain and evolve our learning paths for new and experienced MuleSoft architects. These role-based learning paths include instructor-led courses, self-study courses, workshops, independent projects, certification exams, and more.

What you’ll achieve:

3 months:

  • Complete Salesforce and MuleSoft onboarding programs

  • Become familiar with MuleSoft’s existing training portfolio and the training portfolio roadmap

  • Take over management of the architecture development team including having weekly 1-1’s with all direct reports

  • Participate in and then own the interview process to hire additional developers for the team

  • Attend MuleSoft training courses

  • Pass the MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect - Level 1 and MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect - Level 1 exams

  • Ramp on curriculum development tools and processes

12 months:

  • Manage and develop a globally distributed team that has members with very different levels of course development experience and MuleSoft experience

  • Grow the team by hiring additional developers as per the hiring plan

  • Plan, manage, and deliver projects on time

  • Regularly review, analyze, and report on all course feedback and metrics regularly

  • Continually strive to create more effective learning content more efficiently with increased student satisfaction, instructor satisfaction, and student certifications

  • Collaborate with other managers to procure additional subject matter experts as needed for projects

  • Drive the development of standards and their consistent implementation in training materials

  • Work with stakeholders to design and implement instructor enablement plans as needed for new and/or updated courses

What you’ll need to be successful:

Technical skills:

  • College technical degree (CS or Engineering preferred)

  • Real-world experience architecting enterprise integration solutions (MuleSoft, IBM, BEA, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, etc.)

  • Deep understanding of enterprise technologies and business context

  • Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of APIs, web services, and JMS messaging

  • Software development experience using Maven and GitHub

Management experience:

  • 2+ years managing a globally distributed development team

  • Proven track record building a highly functional team

  • Ability and desire to develop architects and their skill sets

  • Excellent project management skills with ability to plan, manage, and deliver projects on time

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong team player with ability to successfully collaborate with geographically distributed teams

  • Independent self-starter with proven time management and prioritization skills in a dynamic environment

Training / education experience:

  • Experience developing or managing the development of enablement materials for a highly technical audience of architects and/or developers

  • Participation as a learner in one or more architecture learning programs

  • Attainment of one or more industry architecture certifications

What would also be useful to have:

  • Real-world experience as a MuleSoft architect

  • Experience developing or managing the development of instructor-led training materials in a technical software company

  • Experience developing or managing the development of certification exams

  • Familiarity with course development methodologies

  • Familiarity with various tools to create instructor-led content and self-paced learning content

  • Experience with Salesforce and Trailhead
