The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on an AVP, Talent – Enterprise Learning Solutions to join our growing Employee Experience and Talent Development department within Lincoln’s corporate Human Resources function.

As the AVP of Talent – Enterprise Learning Solutions, you will lead a team comprised of learning operations, LMS administrators, measurement and learning community experts in delivering enterprise-wide learning solutions to the entire employee base.

What you'll be doing

Learning Strategy and Leadership

  • Shaping and managing the enterprise learning strategy and direction of core offerings across our 11,000-person organization, including securing the right engagement, framework, tools, and governance for execution

  • Maintaining knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assessing impact, and collaborating with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies

  • Leading and scoping proposed enterprise learning solutions, preparing the business case – objectives, scope, outcomes, benefits, risks, resource and budget requirements

  • Establishing relationships and partnering with internal Training, L&D and other SMEs in the business to drive consistent best practices and experiences for Lincoln’s learners through the new Learning Experience Platform

Team Leadership

  • Leading and mentoring a team of learning management system administrators, learning community managers and operations staff including offering stretch assignments and giving open and honest feedback to aid in the development of talent

  • Driving engagement and retention of team members

Learning Technology, Operations and Budget Management

  • Leading a cross-functional team of experts in establishing the strategy, design, build and ongoing evolution of a new Learner Experience on the Degreed platform

  • Partnering with corporate communications to drive adoption and usage of the new platform, consumption of content and participation in vendor-led programming

  • Ensuring successful management of existing external vendor relationships and partners (e.g., Udemy, OpenSesame, Ted@Work, etc.); Identifying and establishing new vendor relationships to support the delivery of best-in-class virtual eLearning

  • Managing the budget for the scope of assigned learning solutions, securing the right business case for requested services and partnering with technology, compliance, IT security and finance SMEs to ensure vendor setup and compliance and timely processing and reporting of expenditures

Learning Performance and Reporting

  • Regularly assessing the learning and development delivery model’s effectiveness and making continuous improvement recommendations to strengthen sustainability and scale

  • Establishing a robust measurement strategy and leading the analysis of all current and future enterprise learning offerings including evaluating the most effective and cost-efficient ways to deliver relevant training to all levels of employees throughout the organization

  • Measuring, analyzing, and reporting the effectiveness of programs

What we're looking for

Must-haves:

  • 12+ Years of progressively increasing Talent Development experience including a proven track record of developing and delivering impactful talent development programs

  • 3+ Years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience including experience influencing senior management/critical stakeholders

  • 5+ Years of experience leading project teams through all phases of project lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, build, go-live, testing).

  • Strong customer orientation and the ability to work reciprocally with team members, across functions and in a diverse environment

  • Instructional design and facilitation skills

  • Ability to work under tight timeframes; plan, prioritize and ensure the execution of multiple, detailed tasks across the team

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
