Meta Brand Strategist in Helena, Montana

Meta is looking for a Brand Strategist to work on the Meta Brand & Product Marketing team. Brand Strategy is responsible for developing the overarching Meta brand architecture, positioning and naming models, as well as supporting the development of the visual ID system and activations across the company on behalf of the brand. The ideal person for this role has a strong background in developing cogent, creative, and insights-driven brand strategies. They are a doer with the unique ability to solve problems, collaborate, and drive cross-org alignment on some of our most timely and high-priority brand initiatives. They are a highly skilled communicator with a proven ability to ask and answer difficult questions, form quick (but sound) perspectives, advise stakeholders, and be a true partner to creative teams. They are a hybrid thinker: equal parts analytical acumen and creative fluency. Finally, they are able to look beyond individual brands and teams to optimize for our goals as a company across our portfolio of brands.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead discussions and recommendations on what brand types are appropriate for new or existing products, services, and programs, and what brand within the portfolio they might leverage in-market.

  2. Develop and refine tools (e.g., frameworks, decision trees) to equip the company.

  3. Partner with brand leads across the company to bring a cohesive portfolio strategy to life.

  4. Drive the process for naming or renaming company offerings, aligning relevant teams and partnering with legal.

  5. Drive and apply strategy across concurrent campaigns and partnerships.

  6. Capture and bring to life the insights and opportunities that will inform creative briefs.

  7. Deliver creative briefings, collaborating with and supporting creative teams throughout the process.

  8. Partner with product and design to drive the integration of a holistic strategy.

  9. Bring your brand and identity lens to the creative, ensure we are applying our identity system.

  10. Collaborate with our internal insights team and external partners to design and analyze research and measurement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years experience as a brand strategist or planner at a brand-side company, agency or research company.

  2. Experience developing brand architecture, naming systems, and messaging frameworks.

  3. Experience collaborating within dynamic and matrixed organizations.

  4. Experience building, implementing and optimizing brand foundations.

  5. Experience leveraging data, research and insights to inform recommendations.

  6. Experience presenting to executive and senior leadership.

  7. Thrive in a self-starter, fast-paced and changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working both in-house and with creative agency teams.

  2. Experience developing and rolling out cross-org strategies for brand implementation, including brand governance.

  3. Tech sector background (product and UX acumen/understanding).
